1 lb sliced white bread or premade stuffing
3/4 cup butter
1 small onion chopped
3 stalks celery
1 tbsp fresh thyme
1 tbsp sage
salt and pepper to taste
1 cup vegetable or chicken broth
1.Crumble white bread into cubes. Cook on cook sheet at 300 degrees for 5 minutes. Toss around and then cook for another 5 minutes. Check and take out when light brown and dry.
2. Melt butter in skillet, then add chopped onion. When the onion looks translucent add the celery, thyme, sage, salt and pepper and cook for about 5 minutes to soften the celery. .
3. In casserole dish mix cooked bread cubes, onion/butter mixture and broth. Cook at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes
